Years of searching.
One jacket.

We’ve Been Searching a LongTime. This Is What We Found.

We’ve Been Searching a LongTime. This Is What We Found.

Sapmok has never been the brand that launches something just to fill a gap on the shelf. We’re deliberate. We take our time. And when it comes to jackets, we’ve been taking our time for years.

We’ve had samples made. We’ve spoken to suppliers. We’ve walked away more than once, not because good options don’t exist, but because “good enough” has never been the standard we hold ourselves to.

Then Werner found Dimpora. And for the first time, everything aligned.

Why This Jacket. Why Now.

Sapmok exists for the guides, vets, rangers, and adventurers who show up for conservation every single day, and they don't need another branded rain jacket.

They need gear that actually works, built to last, and made with the same values they live by. That's why everything we sell has to earn its place. The Sapmok Waterproof Jacket is the result of that standard. Not a compromise. Exactly what we've been looking for.

The Innovation Behind It: dimpora®

The Innovation Behind It: dimpora®

Inside this jacket is a dimpora® membrane — the hidden layer that keeps rain out while letting heat and moisture escape.

We chose it because performance was never enough on its own. This jacket needed a membrane that delivers reliable protection, but also reflects a better way of making technical products.

Serious performance, built differently.

Fully Waterproof. No Harmful Chemicals. No Shortcuts.

This jacket is built for people who spend time outside, whether that’s on the trail, at work, or just out living life. It’s protection you can trust, made responsibly, and designed to feel good doing it.

Built better, on purpose

At Sapmok, we believe good gear should feel comfortable, last long, and respect the places it’s used in.

This jacket is no exception.

That is one of the reasons we chose dimpora®, because how a product is made matters just as much as how it performs.

For this collection, that means a membrane made without PFAS, without solvents, and with more than 60% biobased content.

The result is a jacket that performs in tough conditions while staying true to the standard we set for everything we make.

What Makes It Different

A lot of waterproof gear still relies on PFAS, either in the water-repellent treatment (DWR) or in the membrane itself. Many membranes are also made using solvents.

That matters because PFAS (also known as forever chemicals) don’t break down easily and they build up in the environment, in water systems, and in living things. Solvents bring a different problem, adding impact during manufacturing and increasing the need for careful handling in production.

By partnering with Dimpora, we chose a membrane made without PFAS and without solvents — an approach that can reduce CO2 emissions during production by up to 96% compared with conventional solvent-based alternatives.*

A jacket that keeps rain out but traps heat and sweat in is just a different kind of miserable.

Built with millions of microscopic pores, dimpora® helps block rain while still letting excess heat and moisture escape. The result is protection that feels comfortable to wear, even over long hours in changing conditions.

That matters most when you wear it all day. A guide leading a game drive in a storm. A vet out in the field for hours. You need protection you can forget you’re wearing.

For this jacket, we chose a membrane with more than 60% biobased content. — the highest biobased share currently available in this category.

That means reducing dependence on fossil-based raw materials while still delivering the performance a jacket like this demands.

This jacket uses dimpora® BIO, specifically. A biobased membrane developed using CoreLayer™ technology.

CoreLayer™ is the technology behind dimpora® membranes. It allows the development of different membrane solutions using different raw materials and with different end-of-life goals in mind.

For us, that matters because it means we are not tied to one fixed membrane approach. We are building on a technology that can evolve over time, alongside better material choices, new ideas, and what comes next.

For the people wearing it, that means more than just reliable protection today. It means this jacket is backed by a technology designed to keep improving, not stand still.
